Michael graduated from the Royal Academy of Music as a pianist, but whilst there found himself increasingly drawn to composition. Since then, he has written works that range from solo instrumental pieces and chamber music to large ensemble works and film scores.

Michael studied piano with Hilary Coates at Wells Cathedral Music School, before he was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of music where he studied piano with Christopher Elton and Frank Wibaut.

Michael has been recording and producing for other musicians since 2001. Recordings range from Lieder to Chamber music to singer songwriters and spoken word for both film and Radio.
